On his way, he encountered Florence (née Odikaesime), a beautiful, gentle woman who instantly captured his heart. He knew immediately she was his missing rib. That very encounter changed the course of his life; he cancelled the previous arrangement and chose Florence.
Meanwhile, Florence herself had her own twist of fate. She once ran away from a previously arranged marriage, convinced deep within that the man was not her soul mate. Not long after, Hyacinth appeared in her life and with him came peace, certainty, and joy. She was happy to go with him, knowing her heart had finally found home.
Their courtship blossomed into a union sealed in November 1974, and on July 27, 1975, they were wedded. For 50 years, their marriage has been a shining example of faith, love, resilience, and partnership, blessed with children, grandchildren, and countless spiritual sons and daughters.
